A Return to Fulltime Teaching
at Carnegie Mellon University!
Carnegie Mellon University Carnegie Mellon University School of Music is pleased to announce the return of Jeanne Baxtresser, Vira I. Heinz Professor of Flute, to full time teaching. Miss Baxtresser will join Alberto Almarza in offering instruction in the Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Music degree programs as well as the Artist Diploma and Advanced Music Studies Certificate programs (Artist Diploma candidates receive full scholarship).
All these programs will continue their concentration on flute solo and orchestral repertoire with weekly lessons and seminars.
Audition dates in Pittsburgh include: February 18th, 19th, and March 3, 2012. In addition, for the first time, we will hear applicants in New York City (Steinway Hall) on February 25, 2012.
The application deadline for the Flute Studio has been extended to January 1, 2012 for undergraduate applicants and January 15 for graduate applicants.
