New Revised Edition of Orchestral Excerpts for Flute with Piano Accompaniment now available!

Many times, over the last few years, I have wished that I could have the opportunity to add a few new ideas and to continue polishing the original version of Orchestral Excerpts for Flute. With this revised edition, my opportunity is here.

The following is a list of elements added to the original book.

I have had such a feeling of gratitude for the wonderful responses to the pedagogical materials I have published: Orchestral Excerpts for Flute with Piano Accompaniment, Great Flute Duos from the Orchestral Repertoire, and Orchestral Excerpts for Flute with Spoken Commentary. I am delighted that this wonderful music is now more accessible to all flutists.

As a result of my teaching and masterclasses worldwide, many flutists have expressed to me their desire for some new publications dealing with performing, tone and vibrato, and additions to the collection of excerpt books. The following is a list of these projects, all of which I hope to bring to fruition in the coming year:

  1. A new excerpt book—to be announced.
  2. A book of my favorite exercises for tone and vibrato with an accompanying CD.
  3. A book on performing, based upon my own experiences and methods.
  4. A new CD of Flute Duos—Three of my brilliant former students (Anna Garzuly, Anna-Dina Schick and Anne-Catherine Heinzmann) have recorded flute duos from my publication Great Flute Duos from the Orchestral Repertoire. Joining them on this wonderful CD is my wonderful pianist/collaborator, Cordula Hacke, who performs a number of lovely arrangements for 2 flutes and piano. The excerpt performances will be accompanied by my commentary, similar to what I have done on the CD, Orchestral Excerpts for Flute with Spoken Commentary.

Please contact me with any ideas or requests involving these future publications.
